Disadvantaged young adults will be able to successfully enter professional life through solid, high-quality training. In this way they will generate income for themselves and their families, freeing themselves from poverty on their own initiative.
Young men and women are learning important technical skills in vocational training. Since the project began, already more than 20,000 young adults have completed a vocational training course at our various partner institutions. The courses and trainings are of varying length and encompass various professions such as cooks, electricians, automotive mechanics, and tailors. The programme offers structure to young adults in their daily lives, helping them integrate into the labour market. Not only are technical aspects important here, but also basic skills are imparted, such as punctuality and how to behave in a professional environment. The project is mindful to ensure that at least 50% of training slots are filled by women.
