Systems Change Consultancy

The Dutch Good Growth Fund (DGGF) has a dual objective: fostering the economic development and potential of entrepreneurs and companies as well as encouraging and facilitating Dutch trade through expanding finance to Dutch and local SMEs. The component for financing local SMEs aims at providing better financing to un- and underserved SMEs. It applies an ecosystem approach to entrepreneurship development, understanding that finance is only one among a range of issues impacting on the growth and resilience of enterprises.

RESULT / IMPACT

The expected results are an improved youth system change strategy and monitoring and results management system (MRM) and team capacity built to align operational management and to apply a similar methodology and tools to other components and across the portfolio.

OUR ROLE

DGGF requested support to lead their team through a process of learning, reflection and development that enables them to:

  • revisit the systems change framework and improve impact theories and relevant strategies,
  • reflect how adequate the operational management and process is to fulfil its mission, and
  • improve the monitoring and results management accordingly.

To establish this process for reflections and adaptation, the youth / early-stage finance stream will serve as a learning by doing case.
