The SIPPO Ukraine team is thrilled to announce a series of activities for Ukrainian Business Support Organizations (BSOs) at BIOFACH 2025 in Nuremberg, Germany. These initiatives are aimed at expanding export opportunities for the organic sector.

Participation in this global exhibition marks a key step in further integrating Ukraine into the international organic market, where it already plays a leading role.

Ukraine's Organic Leadership
Ukraine is the #1 organic supplier to the EU and ranks among the top 5 global exporters of organic products. Around 90% of Ukraine's organic products are exported. However, the full-scale invasion by Russia has drastically reduced the domestic market, compelling Ukrainian companies to seek new opportunities abroad. Now, more than ever, there is a need to focus on boosting exports—not just of organic raw materials, but also value-added products.

What’s planned for BIOFACH 2025?
1️⃣ Matchmaking Training with Mentorship Support
Ukrainian BSOs will learn how to build effective partnerships through tailored matchmaking training. At the Ukraine booth (Hall 4A, Stand 625), participants will have the chance to put their new skills into practice.

2️⃣ Training and Benchmarking for Promoting Ukrainian Products
We will host training sessions focused on competitiveness analysis and the promotion of Ukrainian organic products. These sessions will help BSOs and their members adapt marketing strategies to meet global standards and achieve successful positioning on the world market.

3️⃣ Networking with BSOs from the Balkan Region
This collaboration will enable Ukrainian BSOs to exchange experiences, strengthen their capacity for export promotion, and adopt best practices for business support and development.

Driving Ukraine’s Economic Recovery
The organic sector is a key driver of Ukraine’s economic recovery. By expanding export opportunities, we aim to preserve jobs, support regional development, and bolster Ukraine’s presence on the global stage.

Swiss Import Promotion Programme
The Swiss Import Promotion Programme (SIPPO) is a well-established mandate of the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) within the framework of its economic development cooperation. The programme has been implemented by Swisscontact since 2017 and is now in phase 2 (2021-2025).

The overall objective of SIPPO is to integrate developing and transition countries into world trade. In a facilitation role, SIPPO advises and supports so-called Business Support Organisations (BSOs) in 12 partner countries. Through innovative and targeted export promotion services, BSOs strengthen the export capabilities of companies intending to export and facilitate market access and exports to Switzerland, the EU, and regional markets.
