The 4th meeting of EBN primarily focused on three objectives including a discussion on a roadmap to improve Cambodia's entrepreneurial ecosystem, informing the EBN members on the interest shown by the Global Steering Group (GSG) to establish a National Advisory Board in Cambodia, and lastly, to announce the formation of a Technical Working Group to oversee the development of the roadmap.
The development of a comprehensive roadmap for enhancing Cambodia's entrepreneurial landscape was extensively discussed. EBN members are set to circulate the roadmap concept for additional input, while the working group will finalize the specific timeline, time, and resource commitment. A preliminary outline of proposed activities was presented during the meeting. The members of the Ecosystem Builder Network (EBN) also deliberated on the establishment of a National Advisory Board in the country to bolster support for these initiatives after the development of the roadmap.
The meeting also highlighted the achievements of the previous EBN meetings, including the development of a shared vision and the mapping of supporting organizations. Additionally, the progress of Give a Day 2023, an initiative that encourages experts to donate a day to share their experiences with other ecosystem actors, was elaborated, and the results from CAMESCO 2022 were also shared.
The EBN meeting was successful in providing service as a vital platform, uniting development partners, ecosystem builders, and government agencies in their pursuit of enhanced collaboration and identification of market gaps and opportunities. By holding these meetings quarterly, the goal is to foster meaningful change and contribute to the development of entrepreneurial ecosystems in Cambodia. The next EBN meeting is scheduled for the third quarter of 2023.
