Co-creating a Thriving Entrepreneurial Ecosystem

A capacity development workshop was organized on 9-11 February 2023 with CDRC and RDA officials on entrepreneurial ecosystem in context of chars at SKS Inn, Gaibandha. The objective of the training was to develop capacity of a public institution on entrepreneurship ecosystem mapping in context of chars.

As part of the training, the high level officials and faculties of RDA visited 4 businesses and enterprises in a field immersion exercise for building business plan and model for the respective business. Afterwards they had hands on experience of creating stakeholder mapping, ecosystem canvas model and action plan for respective business incubation and acceleration in the training. A session of fireside chat was also organized with resource persons from different financial institutes to discuss creditworthiness and investment readiness. Representative from a commercial bank (UCB Bank), a microfinance institute (SKS), an Agri-tech company (iPage) and a venture capital firm (South Asia Tech) was present in the session. Director General- Rural Development Academy, Mr. Khalil Ahmed and Project Director-M4C, Dr. Md. Abdul Majid Pramanik participated in the training. BetterStories, an incubation and acceleration expert organization designed and conducted the training and M4C co-facilitated. Representative from BSCIC and Uddokta Forum also participated in the training.
