A long-term commitment for the quality of vocational education and training

Initial vocational education and training

Two projects in Benin that concluded at the end of 2019 created many processes and products, some of which were incorporated in the national labour market strategy for technical and vocational education and training (TVET).

The AFPIJE and PAFPA projects, which came to an end at the end of 2019, after more than four and six years of operation respectively, have undoubtedly brought, through their many good practices and innovations, real added value to the vocational training system in Benin in terms of strategies to improve its relevance, quality and performance.

This is particularly illustrated by the fact that some of the processes and products resulting from these two projects had fed into the reflections and positioning, or even their adoption and integration into the new National Strategy for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in relation to the labour market (2019 - 2025) which has just been drawn up, thus underlining not only its operational value, but also its political and strategic dimension.
