Sustainable Landscape Program in Leuser Alas-Singkil River-basin (LASR) Landscape

The Sustainable Landscape Program Indonesia (SLPI) is a bilateral program between Switzerland and Indonesia through Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) and Coordinating Ministry of Economic Affairs which will contribute to a paradigm shift to lower greenhouse gas emissions and foster climate resilient economic development by using a Landscape Approach. The Program will address drivers of deforestation and create capacity to plan and stimulate economic growth by targeting land productivity, sustainable commodity production systems, deforestation, and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.

Leuser Alas-Singkil River-basin (LASR) project is part of the Component 1 of the SLPI implemented by Swisscontact (SC) from 2023-2025. The LASR Landscape covers the districts of Aceh Singkil, Subulussalam, and Aceh Tenggara as well as other districts within Leuser Ecosystem Area in the larger LASR landscape. Swisscontact will implement the project together with Earthworm Foundation and Koltiva AG.

Project Database and Administration Assistant

Job Brief

Assist LASR Project Team in data input, data collection, and administration following requirements as set in each business process and assist MRM Manager in database system management as well as data validation from the implementation.

 

Task, Authority & Responsibility

  • To support regular monitoring activities based on LASR's key performance indicators and undertakes periodic field and desk review to validate data (e.g. through supporting documents provided by the project team and implementation partners).
  • To assist communication and coordination with project implementation partners on capturing and compiling of information as needed for project reports, then ensure the delivery of all information from them is on time, coherence and accurate.
  • Responsible for regular tasks like data query to implementation partners, data cleaning, and descriptive analysis.
  • To assist in project administration such as team travel arrangement, event arrangement, consultancy administration, prepare correspondence letter and other regular administrative assignments to support the activities.

 

Employee Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Management, Agricultural and Natural Sciences, Public Relation, or a relevant subject from an accredited academic institution.
  • Preferable candidate with 2 years experience working in a data oriented, results reporting, and analysis positions. Skilled at learning new processes and managing data sets.
  • Experience in working on the project administration is a plus.
  • Familiar with Data dan Result driven approach of project implementation analysis.
  • Strong proficiency in use of Microsoft Office applications, especially MS Excel. Proficient with Statistical analysis instrument (e.g. R-Studio, SPSS, and STATA) and Database Management Software (e.g. PowerBI, PowerApps, MySQL) is a plus.
  • Willing and able to conduct business travel to the field project area if needed.
  • Experience working in inter-cultural teams and environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality outputs on time.
  • Good interpersonal skills, communication with external, and commitment to working in a team.
  • Good writing capacity in writing in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
