Uttoron project conducted 3-day long Training of Trainers (ToT) workshop at Khulna shipyard on Competency-Based Training and Assessment (CBT&A).

Uttoron project is pioneering advanced 4G/5G level welding training in Bangladesh in partnership with Khulna Shipyard (KSY). As part of that initiative, the project organised a three-day long ToT (Training of Trainers) for the trainers of KSY.

A well-equipped and qualified trainer is crucial for quality training and to ensure that the ToT was designed according to the Competency-Based Training and Assessment (CBT&A) standard. Ten (10) trainers from KSY participated in the ToT. The training covered effective communication, inclusivity, Occupational Safety and Health (OSH), task analysis of job function, assessment standards. The participants were also oriented about various government-issued TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) standards in Bangladesh, National Skills development policy (NSDP) and different levels of NTVQF (National Technical and Vocational Qualifications Framework). The curriculum for the advanced welding training has been developed in collaboration with the international certification authority Bureau Veritas.
