In war-affected regions of Ukraine, rebuilding local economies starts with empowering those at the heart of their communities. In Pryluky, a Swisscontact-supported training brought together over 30 women, displaced persons, and unemployed individuals to explore agribusiness as a path to recovery.

This initiative is part of the Empower AgriWomen project, which aims to strengthen the economic resilience of women living in rural areas, especially those affected by war. The training brought together over 30 participants from the district to explore tools for launching successful agribusinesses.

Education as a Platform for Economic Change

The Pryluky Vocational Lyceum, an active partner of Swisscontact’s initiatives, plays a key role in building local capacity for professional development and entrepreneurship. The school hosted the event and shared its experience in implementing Swisscontact EdUP project.

"We’ve seen how motivation increases when training is directly linked to real-life business goals. Our collaboration with the EdUP project has allowed us to introduce relevant educational programs, and today’s event continues our shared efforts to transform learning into a launchpad for entrepreneurship. "
