PRABRIDDHI signing MoU with bKash

PRABRIDDHI is a development programme, funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), represented by the Embassy of Switzerland in Bangladesh, and implemented by Swisscontact. The project has signed an MoU with Bkash, the leading Mobile Financial Service Provider in Bangladesh, on 16^th September 2021. The objective of the partnership is to explore avenues in FinTech, digital information and service delivery.

The core focus of the collaboration will be to facilitate digitization of service delivery by the partner municipalities and payment system for Cottage Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (CMSMEs).

Bkash and PRABRIDDHI will analyze the municipal services and explore feasibility of digitizing services related to savings, microinsurance, loans, bill payments and such. A set of customized solutions will be developed for partner municipalities by integrating mobile financial services around Fintech. Municipal bodies, CSMSEs and other relevant stakeholders will be sensitized to avail such efficient services. These initiatives will improve the business environment at partner municipalities.
