Enabling Kosovo Blueberry Producers to Export to European Markets

The Global GAP certification opens up new export market opportunities for Kosovo’s blueberry producers. At PPSE we organized a meeting with a group of ten blueberry producers to discuss about the modalities how to obtain this certificate.

“Having in mind that 90% of the total blueberry production in Kosovo is exported, this certificate assumes a far greater importance,” said Besnik Cecelia, PPSE Facilitator. The partner for this activity is Shoqata Mjedra e Kosoves, which plays an important role in organizing the sector and disseminating information. While PPSE will provide the external auditing service that enables the producers to obtain the certificate, the involvement of Mjedra e Kosoves results in cheaper price for the certificate.
