On May 18th, 2022, Khmer Enterprise, WE Act Cambodia and Swisscontact organized the 4th edition of “Give a Day” monthly meeting. Give a Day is an initiative within the Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Building (EEB) Project. The meeting was attended by 56 participants representing investors, entrepreneurial support organizations, representatives from the Government among others.

Tommy Boukhris from AVPN Cambodia Advisor and Senior Consultant & Portfolio Manager, Emerging Markets Consulting - EMC nicely presented the investment landscape and was appreciated by all the participants. The discussions that followed the presentation revolved around impact investment landscape in Southeast Asia and how Cambodia could attract impact investment funds.

The participants provided inputs on innovative financial options, including flexible debt/adaptive capital, convertible debt, venture debt, assets-based debt, crowdfunding platform, equity crowdfunding, etc. in helping entrepreneurs to access the right fit capital to grow and scale-up their businesses.

The key issues from this Give a Day will feed into the 2nd Ecosystem Builders Network (EBN) meeting scheduled for June 14, 2022.
