The EdUP project held a three-day training and practical conference, “Modern Concrete Technologies,” for educators from Ukrainian vocational education schools. 22 teachers from various regions participated in this event.

Under the guidance of practical experts and representatives from Sika, Cemark, and YUKAT-3D, the educators refined their skills to pass on this knowledge to their students.

The first day focused on theory: participants learned about production processes, quality control systems, and cement concrete standards.

On the second day, they moved to hands-on activities. The teachers worked in the laboratory, creating concrete mixtures, forming samples, and learning about a construction 3D printer for printing with concrete.

On the third day the soft skills development sessions were included. EdUP project expert Anna Arnaut emphasized the importance of communication and cooperation between educators and businesses, helping participants develop teamwork and effective communication skills.

The EdUP project aims to improve the quality of vocational education in Ukraine, particularly in construction-related fields. Training conferences like these not only enhance educators’ knowledge but also strengthen the connection between educational institutions and businesses, which is crucial for preparing skilled professionals who will rebuild and develop Ukraine.
