Innovation for Sustainable Agriculture

Dara is an Intervention Area Lead of the Innovation for Sustainable Agriculture (ISA) of Swisscontact. Dara first joined Swisscontact as a Junior Project Officer, where he was instrumental in developing a technology pathway for grafted tomato plants and developing an innovative business model to scale up the adoption of this technology in Battambang. As he advanced to the role of Intervention Area Lead, Dara's responsibilities expanded to directing and executing interventions, strategic planning, and managing relationships with key stakeholders. His work continues to focus on promoting sustainable agricultural practicec, innovative business models, and technology commercialization. He developed "SevaKasekor," an agri-machinery service uptake initiative aimed at establishing networks of service providers and promoting sustainable agricultural machinery and technology. Dara successfully collaborated with the private sector to prototype and manufacture high-quality no-till planters in Cambodia. He also leading an InGuider Model, a program aims to provide students in agricultural sector access to a standardized internship program and receive hands-on experiences.
