About the Forum

The Youth Skills Development Forum (YSDF) is convened by Swisscontact - the Swiss Foundation for Technical Cooperation - in partnership with the National Industrial Training Authority (NITA) and the Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM).

For 28 years, Swisscontact has worked across Kenya to shift the way markets function - unlocking the power of private initiative for inclusive, sustainable economic growth. This Forum marks a decisive step: bringing together the leaders who fund, regulate, employ, and train Kenya’s workforce to align around a shared agenda.

What to Expect

Over two days, participants will engage with high-level plenary discussions, evidence-based learning sessions, curated thematic dialogues, and structured networking designed to generate action - not just conversation.

Day 1 : Showcasing an Industry-Led Skills Development Model

Day 2 : Learning and Coalition Building

Financing skills development, scaling apprenticeships beyond construction, forging public–private partnerships, and building the coalition that turns dialogue into delivery.

Meet the leaders, innovators, and practitioners shaping the conversation. From cabinet secretaries to construction employers, from AfDB programme directors to PropelA graduates.
