Mr. Gabriel Obodai Annan joined Swisscontact in August 2025 as a Finance and Administration Officer based in Accra, Ghana. Effective January 2026, he was appointed HR, Administration & Procurement Officer, taking on responsibilities in human resources, office management, and procurement, while building on his strong background in finance and administration.
Gabriel is fully transitioning into human resources and organizational management and is currently pursuing his Professional in Human Resources – International (PHRi) certification with the HR Certification Institute (HRCI). He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), which underpins his analytical, compliance, and operational skills.
He has gained diverse experience across corporate and non-profit sectors. He served as an Analyst and Executive Assistant at a financial consultancy firm, conducting research, preparing executive reports, and supporting internal operations. At mPharma Ghana, he worked as a Finance Trainee, managing bank reconciliations, cash flow reports, receivables schedules, petty cash, and transaction processing to strengthen financial operations.
He also served as a Finance and Administration Intern at CorpsAfrica Ghana, supporting donor fund disbursements, payment processing, compliance documentation, and coordination with implementing partners. At Absa Bank Ghana’s Retail Governance Unit, he contributed to KYC updates, customer data verification, and compliance monitoring, ensuring accurate and efficient banking operations. Earlier in his career, he gained practical finance experience as an Accounts Assistant Intern at Ghana Christian University College and developed customer engagement and communication skills as a Telesales Representative Intern at Telecel.
Gabriel brings a strong combination of HR, administration, procurement, and finance expertise, with a commitment to accountability, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement. He is passionate about professional HR practices, effective organizational management, and enabling transparent, efficient, and impactful operations at Swisscontact.
