Mr. Gabriel Obodai Annan joined Swisscontact in August 2025 as a Finance and Admin Officer based in Accra, Ghana. He is an accounting and finance professional with hands-on experience in financial reporting, bank reconciliation, petty cash management, transaction processing, compliance monitoring, and donor fund disbursement. He is currently pursuing his professional qualification with the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (ICAG), and holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from the University of Professional Studies, Accra.
Prior to joining Swisscontact, Gabriel held progressive roles in both the corporate and non-profit sectors. He served as an Analyst and Executive Assistant at a leading financial consultancy firm, where he conducted financial and policy research, developed executive reports, and supported internal operations and strategic analysis.
As a Finance Trainee at mPharma Ghana, he was responsible for preparing bank reconciliations, treasury and cash flow reports, receivables ageing schedules, transaction entries, and managing petty cash and invoice processing. His contributions enhanced financial visibility and supported more efficient reporting systems.
He also worked with CorpsAfrica Ghana as a Finance and Administrative Intern, supporting donor fund disbursements, payment processing, compliance documentation, and coordination with implementing partners. At Absa Bank Ghana’s Retail Governance Unit, he contributed to KYC updates and customer data verification. Earlier in his career, he served as an Accounts Officer Intern at Ghana Christian University College, where he gained practical experience in bookkeeping, petty cash administration, and account reconciliations.
