Give a Day 6: Leveraging Collaborative Approach to Support Entrepreneurs in Accessing Investment

On 22 July, Khmer Enterprise, WE Act via Pac and Swisscontact organized the 6th “Give a Day” monthly meeting which is an initiative within the Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Building (EEB) Project. The meeting was attended by The meeting was attended 44 participants representing investors, entrepreneurial support organizations, government among others. 
 

This morning, we organized the 6th “Give a Day” monthly meeting which is an initiative within the Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Building Project (EEB). The topic focused on “Leveraging Collaborative Approach to Support Entrepreneurs in Accessing Investment”. The discussion centred around a role of intermediary –brokerage service using innovative mechanisms to connect investment capital to impact businesses and share the best practices and recommendation for ESOs regarding brokerage service model. There was a lively discussion about the challenges of impact businesses in reaching financial closure as well as collected feedback to foster collaborative approaches among system’s actors to fill the missing middle.

The Best Practice of a Brokerage Service Model was delivered by Guillaume Requin, Head of the SMEs & Finance Department, Sevea.
