The EIR program, part of the Strengthen Entrepreneurship and Innovation pillar under the Enhancing Entrepreneurial Ecosystem and Investments (3Ei) initiative, connects international experts with local actors to deepen technical expertise and build ecosystem resilience.
Maciej Prokop is a pricing strategist at Valueships, a consultancy based in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). He has completed over 30 pricing projects, worked directly with startup accelerators and enterprise-focused companies, and taught at several universities. His work bridges pricing and marketing, leveraging tools such as Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) development and customer value communication to maximize revenue across segments. During his EIR mission, his focus was on enabling local founders to treat pricing as a strategic growth driver.
His engagement began on July 21st with one-on-one mentoring for the Small and Medium-sized Enterprise (SMEs): LCDC Eco Green, Angkor Charcoal Briquette Enterprise, TIARAPICH Real Estate Co., Ltd. and NOMARIEL Innovation and Trading, co-hosted by Swisscontact and Cambodia-Japan Cooperation Center (CJCC). These sessions allowed founders to receive tailored feedback on their specific pricing and business model challenges.
On July 22nd, the full-day workshop Value-Based Pricing & Selling was delivered in collaboration with Smart at Connexion. 21 participants—mostly startups—attended sessions covering pricing fundamentals, customer segmentation, value-selling processes, and integrating value communication into marketing. Post-survey data showed high satisfaction, with most participants rating the workshop 4 or 5 out of 5 and reporting improved or significantly improved understanding of the topic.
On July 23rd, Maciej led Designing High-Growth Pricing & Business Models at Khmer Enterprise (KE). The workshop focused on components of high-growth business models, value-based pricing, scalable revenue strategies, and customer-driven pricing decisions. Among the 24 participants, the majority indicated the workshop would be ‘Very likely’ to support their business success. Overall satisfaction was very high.
July 24th began with one-on-one mentoring sessions for four startups: Point hub, Espass, BeOne Platform, and Digi-Lab, under the Digital Platform Accelerator (DPA) program at Techo Startup Center. In the afternoon, Maciej delivered a half-day workshop on Strategic Pricing Goals: Market Share vs. Revenue Maximization. Participants explored when to apply aggressive pricing for growth versus premium pricing for niche offerings, as well as metrics to track progress. Of the 15 participants, 12 reported the session was ‘Very likely’ to help in improving their business outcomes.
The final day, July 25th, featured the workshop Pricing Aligned with Marketing co-hosted with CJCC. Attended by 22 entrepreneurs, this session focused on identifying ideal customer profiles, linking pricing to buyer journeys, and aligning sales and marketing efforts around value communication. Post-workshop feedback showed that most participants either improved or significantly improved their knowledge and rated the session highly, with an average score above 4 out of 5.
Maciej Prokop’s mission reinforced the importance of pricing strategy and business model design as foundations for long-term growth. His workshops and mentoring offered practical tools and relevant insights tailored to Cambodia’s entrepreneurial context.
