Sommaiy Sihaphon joined Swisscontact in March 2026 as the Provincial Technical Coordinator for Employment Support Services (ESS) of the VTESS Project, based in Vientiane Capital. In this role, he manages the team and budget for Vocational Training and Employment Support Services in Vientiane Capital, coordinates with local authorities and stakeholders to enhance employment opportunities for youth facing challenges in the job market.
Previously, Sommaiy worked with the Association for Environmental Protection and Community Empowerments (AEPCE) in Salavan Province with a solid background in program implementation and government coordination. Additionally, his previous roles include Trainer and Coach for the VTESS project, where he was responsible for recruiting participants, conducting Training of Coaches, and providing technical and financial reporting which he brings over two years of dedicated experience with the Coaching Cycle and Vocational Training procedures to the VTESS project.
