Ms. Bernadine Gillian Naakuma joined Swisscontact in January 2026 as a Finance Officer based in Accra, Ghana. She is a finance and accounting professional with strong experience in donor-funded project accounting, statutory compliance, payroll administration, and financial reporting within the non-profit and development sector.
Prior to joining Swisscontact, Bernadine served as an Accounts Officer at Ghana Wildlife Society, where she managed donor-funded project accounts, prepared financial reports, processed payroll, ensured statutory tax and pension compliance, maintained cashbooks, and supported internal and external audits. She contributed to strengthening documentation systems, improving compliance reporting, and enhancing donor accountability.
Bernadine holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Professional Studies, Accra and has completed the Ghana Stock Exchange Securities Course. She is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting and Finance from the University of Professional Studies, Accra and is a Level II candidate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (ICAG).
Her core competencies include financial reporting, budget monitoring, donor compliance, payroll administration, bank reconciliations, and internal control procedures. She brings to Swisscontact a strong commitment to transparency, accuracy, and ethical financial management, and is passionate about supporting impactful and accountable development programmes.
