World Tour Operators Explore Kosovo as a Destination

Sustainable tourism
On 10-11 April 2019, a group of some 70 tour operators from all over the world explored two cities in Kosovo: Pristina and Prizren, to discover what the destination has to offer for their clients.

This two-day visit was organized by the Kosovo Alternative Tourism Association together with SkyTours Albania, as a follow up of the International Tourism Fair Albania the previous week. The purpose of the visit was to provide tour operators with information on the things to do and see, so they can include in their packages for Eastern Europe and the Balkans.

Sona Shah, owner of “Beyond Horizon” from Mumbai, India, said “We are here to explore the country, and have ready offers for our clients, who are constantly looking for unusual and new destinations. Kosovo is that destination: good infrastructure, very friendly and welcoming people, and the food is excellent”. For Christine Kirschner from Travel Guide 24 in Germany, “people who travel a lot, like Germans, need new countries so it is important to promote Kosovo and its secrets”.

The activity was supported by Swisscontact.
