The gathering successfully brought together women participants from Cohorts 1 through 5 of the programs, along with partner construction entrepreneurs. These programs empower women to enter job market segments traditionally occupied by men. It provided an important opportunity for alumnae to reconnect and network, with a highlight of the day being the awarding of Certificates of Completion to graduates of Cohorts 4 and 5.
Program leaders shared valuable insights by reflecting on both the successes and challenges encountered throughout the program’s journey. Participants and partner organizations engaged in group discussions that focused on women’s innovation and the development of gender inclusive workplaces.
The event also featured three women entrepreneurs who shared their personal business experiences and strategies for long term sustainability. Interactive activities, including program related quizzes and a construction industry exhibition, offered further learning opportunities.
Having completed five successful cohorts, the Women in Construction program remains dedicated to future improvements and innovations. With its expansion into new wards, supporters are warmly invited to stay engaged and follow its progress.
