Uttoron signs MoU with RTISC and BGAPMEA

Uttoron, Bangladesh Garments Accessories & Packaging Manufacturers & Exporters Association (BGAPME) and RMG and Textile Industry Skills Council (RTISC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on February 09, 2021 with the objective to adjust the existing General Finishing Operation (GFO) curriculum of Uttoron project and develop an all-inclusive curriculum that would meet the demands of the packaging industry of Bangladesh.

Uttoron introduced a new trade General Finishing Operation (GFO) for the first time in Bangladesh. After discovering a high demand for skilled workers in quality control, packaging and line operation related tasks, Uttoron initiated this trade. Under this MoU the parties will work together to adjust the existing GFO curriculum of Uttoron project and develop an all-inclusive curriculum, get it validated by National Skills Development Authority (NSDA) for better achievement of National Skills Development Policy (NSDP). Mr. Md. Mohammed Nasir, Chairperson of RTISC, Mr. Mujibul Hasan, Country Director of Swisscontact, Bangladesh & Mr. Md. Abdul Kader Khan, President of BGAPMEA signed the Memorandum of Understanding. Mr. M. Shahadat Hossain, Vice-Chairperson, RTISC, Mr. Helal Uddin Ahmed, Vice-Chairperson (Finance), Mr. Wg Cdr Zaglul Hayder, CEO and Ms. Nadia Afrin Shams, Team Leader-Uttoron, were also present at the event.
