Uttoron- Skills for better life recently signed an agreement with the international welding certification authority Bureau Veritas (BV). Uttoron has introduced internationally standardised advanced welding training (4G/5G level) in Bangladesh in collaboration with Khulna Shipyard (KSY). The project signed the agreement to ensure proper class certification and standardisation. As the international certification authority, BV will conduct assessment of the trainees and provide a class certification. This certification is expected to create a better opportunity for Bangladeshi youth in the international job market. KSY is one of the premier shipbuilding organisations in the country, and, in partnership with them, Uttoron pioneered four (4) months of residential training on advanced welding. The signing ceremony was graced with the presence of Md Harunor Rashid, Marine & Offshore Country Manager, Bureau Veritas Bangladesh, Md.
