Uttoron organised Occupational Health and Safety Administration training for partner TSP staffs

Uttoron project organised a three day-long Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OHSA) training from 13 June 2021 to 15 June 2021 for the management and teaching staff of the training implementation partners in Dhaka. 

The objective of this training was to improve health and safety measures in the skills training and ensure proper safety standards through identifying OHS issues relating to the work environment and maintain health and safety in the workplace as well. An ideal workplace requires appropriate safety rules and regulations, and an understanding of those rules among employees and their responsibilities towards ensuring them. Uttoron - Skills for better life project targets youth and intends to create a workforce that is not only technically sound but also properly sensitised about workplace safety. The training was facilitated by EQMS Consulting Limited, which is one of the leading sustainability consulting firms in Bangladesh providing comprehensive and multidisciplinary training. Management staff, center-in-charge, trade-wise teaching staff, and administration & finance staff of the Dhaka training partners participated in this programme. The event was organised by ensuring maximum safety and hygiene considering the COVID-19 situation. The training took place at UCEP UTI, Mirpur 2, Dhaka.
