Training of Trainers Programme Conducted For YEP Led Entrepreneurship Promotion Training

A four-day Training of Trainers (ToT) programme was conducted for the Youth Employment Project’s (YEP) Entrepreneurship Promotion (EP) Training from 28th to 31st July 2019 at Bardibas, Mahottari district. It included trainers and coordinators of 2 project implementing partners (IP) which amounted to a total of 8 participants including 4 females.

Entrepreneurship Promotion Training aims to provide financial and entrepreneurship knowledge and skills to waged-employed, migrant returnees and other unemployed and skilled youths. The purpose of EPT is to help them become self-employed and facilitate them with business registration, grants and subsidies from different government and other organizations. It is currently being run on four project districts of Nepal: Morang, Sunsari, Sarlahi and Mahottari. 

The aim of ToT was to brief IP coordinators and trainers about the intervention, methodologies on how to properly access EP graduates and their needs before and after the training is completed, while ultimately delivering these graduates the training and services to make them self-employed.

The ToT session was facilitated by lead trainer, Mr. Chandra Kanta Adhikari along with co-trainer Mr. Saroj Koirala and two YEP staff members. The trainers applied various teaching techniques such as group work, demonstrations, practical sessions and team building exercises.
