In her new capacity, Sharon will lead the organization’s continued efforts to empower youth and local communities, foster sustainable development, and oversee the growing Kenyan portfólio. Swisscontact remains dedicated to leveraging Kenya’s unique strengths; a vibrant, youthful workforce, an expanding digital economy, and a dynamic private sector, to support skills development and stimulate economic growth. Through innovative projects, we aim to deliver lasting solutions tailored to the specific needs of the communities we serve.
Sharon’s leadership will be pivotal in aligning these efforts with Kenya’s potential, ensuring Swisscontact’s initiatives empower individuals and businesses while contributing to the country’s broader development goals.
Before joining Swisscontact, Sharon served as the Country Director for Kenya and Regional Policy Lead at Aceli Africa, where she worked to increase capital flows to agricultural SMEs through de-risking mechanisms for private finance providers and advocated for policies that enable a supportive business environment.
We look forward to Sharon’s leadership in guiding Swisscontact Kenya toward continued success, making a lasting impact on Kenya’s economic growth and development.
