Swisscontact and The Social Welfare Council signed a project agreement on 26th February 2021 to implement the Commercial Agriculture for Smallholders and Agribusiness (CASA) programme in Nepal.

CASA aims to increase economic opportunities for smallholders to step up and trade into growing commercial markets in Nepal. The programme will also increase investment in agribusinesses which source from smallholder farmers and generate new evidence and research which amplifies the case for doing business with smallholders.

The Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) funded programme will run until 2024 to support the commercialisation of the dairy and vegetable sectors in Nepal.  For this, Aasaman Nepal and MADE Nepal have been chosen as partner Non-Governmental Organisations.
