The MoU outlines a framework that aims to combine the resources of both organisations, Swisscontact’s legacy in international development and AYAT’s expertise in caregiving, vocational education, and health systems innovation via policy advocacy. The partnership is rooted in a shared vision to improve access to quality and sustainable health services.
A key objective is to develop and deliver training and upskilling programmes for new and existing beneficiaries of the ASTHA project, implemented by Swisscontact. Key focus areas include employability and professional capacity enhancement of Community Paramedics (CPs) and other healthcare workers through digital literacy, vocational skills, and soft skills development.
The collaboration will also focus on the following areas:
· Evidence-based policy advocacy to integrate caregiving and paramedic services into national health strategies
· Joint research and evaluation to inform healthcare interventions and measure impact
· Technology-driven innovations such as telemedicine and mobile health solutions
· Awareness campaigns to promote health literacy and community engagement
· Resource mobilization and pilot project implementation in selected regions
The MoU was signed by Helal Hussain, Country Director of Swisscontact Bangladesh, and Nusrat Aman, CEO of AYAT Education Ltd.
This partnership marks a significant step toward advancing inclusive healthcare and empowering communities through education, innovation, and shared commitment.
