A regional Craft Producers Forum and Fair took place in Chernihiv, uniting local artisans and entrepreneurs who completed the “INFLUENCE: ACCELERATOR” programme. Supported by Swisscontact, the event showcased the best craft products of the region and opened new opportunities for business growth.

On 25 November 2025, the Chernihiv Regional Development Agency, with the support of the Swiss Foundation for Technical Cooperation “Swisscontact,” held a Craft Producers Fair-Forum of Chernihiv region.

The event was organised within the signed memorandum of cooperation to promote small-scale entrepreneurship and local craft production.

The Forum became the final event of the two-month “INFLUENCE: ACCELERATOR” programme, which included a series of training sessions aimed at strengthening local craft businesses.

The event gathered artisans, craftsmen, and local brands of the region, creating a shared space for networking, exchange, and inspiration.

Such events help communities stay resilient during wartime, support people living under constant shelling in the border region, and give space to plan for the future.

"Supporting small agribusiness and craft production is essential for community resilience and Ukraine’s post-war recovery. These sectors employ a significant part of the active population, ensure food security, and create a foundation for local economic growth.
That is why we helped establish the Women’s Entrepreneurship Support Office at the Chernihiv Regional Development Agency. Here, women can receive free, comprehensive support for developing their businesses. We invite everyone to make use of these opportunities."
Vitalii Radko, Head of Empower AgriWomen Project
"Craft producers are becoming real economic pillars for communities in Chernihiv region. They build small but stable businesses where traditional sectors are vulnerable to security risks. Their products preserve the cultural and economic identity of the region and strengthen local value chains.
For an agrarian region like Chernihiv, this is particularly important. Our task as an Agency is to support these initiatives, connect them to broader regional economic ecosystems, and create conditions for their sustainable growth."
Iryna Simonova, Director of the Regional Development Agency

Swisscontact continues supporting entrepreneurship in the agricultural sector through capacity-building and hands-on training to improve people’s livelihoods — and plans to further expand this support.
