Second batch of advanced welding trainees starts its journey

Second batch trainees started internationally standardised advanced welding training.

The second batch of advanced welding trainees have started their training in Khulna Shipyard (KSY). The premier ship building organisation of the country KSY partnered with Uttoron to impart the four-month long residential advanced welding training.  After completing the training, the trainees will be assessed by Bureau Varitas (BV), an international welding certification authority. This is an endeavour to create opportunities for our youth in the international job market. Uttoron-Skills for a better life is a three-year skill development project funded by Chevron and implemented by Swisscontact aims to improve employment opportunities of the youths with industry-focused training.
