Experience of the Skills Development Programme (SDP) phase 1

The Skills Development Programme (SDP) of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) implemented by Swisscontact in the consortium with INBAS in Cambodia completed its first phase on June 30, 2020, after four successful years.

The programme provided market-oriented skills training to increase the income and employment opportunities of disadvantaged young women and men in three rural provinces and contributed to the creation of an inclusive and relevant TVET system nationwide by supporting the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training (MoLVT) and the Ministry of Tourism (MoT).

SDP compiled the good practice and lessons learned of the first phase in a documentation and four implementation guidelines on specific topics. Like-minded agencies working in the field of vocational skills development can learn from SDP’s experience. Have a look at the resources SDP developed here:
