Through the Digital Literacy Initiative (DLI), Swisscontact has partnered with the Ministry of Education and Sports (MoES), the Research Institute for Educational Sciences (RIES), and local partner schools. Together, we have successfully introduced future-ready skills into student learning through:
Sustainability and scaling are core to our mission. At the recent DLI Dissemination Event, Swisscontact shared the project's comprehensive learning materials and practical experiences with the wider education community. By opening these resources to non-partner schools, we are ensuring that more educational institutions across Lao PDR can seamlessly introduce digital skills and coding activities to their students.
The journey is now moving from a targeted initiative to systemic change. RIES is actively working towards integrating coding into the national school curriculum, recognising the growing importance of digital literacy for the next generation.
