On 12 October 2021, the Department of Agricultural Land Resources Management (DALRM) of the General Directorate of Agricultural (GDA) organized a consultative workshop to gather final inputs on the Draft Strategic Development Plan for Bos Khnor Conservation Agriculture Service Center (2022-2026) carried out with the financial and technical support by Swisscontact through the Innovation for Sustainable Agriculture project (ISA) and La recherche agronomique pour le développement (Cirad).

The consultative workshop was presided over by Mr. Ho Puthea, Deputy Director General of GDA, and attended by Directors and Deputy Directors of different departments of GDA, representatives of CIRAD and Swisscontact. Mr. Ho Puthea emphasized the importance of having the strategic document to guide the development of the center and appreciated the achievements of the Department of Agricultural Land Resources Management (DALRM) in promoting conservation agriculture in Cambodia. Directors and representatives from various departments also shared the same thoughts and provided constructive feedback to the document.

The Strategic Development Plan will serve as the first guidance document for the center to further improve itself to become the regional research and training station on Conservation Agriculture and Sustainable Intensification (CASI).

The Department of Agricultural Land Resources Management (DALRM) of the General Directorate of Agricultural (GDA), Swisscontact and La recherche agronomique pour le développement (Cirad ) had jointly signed a tri-party partnership agreement on July 27, 2020 to collaborate on the establishment of a five-year strategic development plan for Bos Khnor Conservation Agriculture Service Centre. The center is one of the older research stations on conservation agriculture in Southeast Asia and has been dedicated to demonstrations, germplasm preservation, seed production, test of appropriate scale mechanization and awareness raising through field days and trainings.
