On 13 August 2021, the Vocational Training and Employment Support project (VTESS), Swisscontact held a Central Project Implementation Committee (CPIC) meeting at the LaoTel Hotel. 

The meeting was co-chaired by Mr. Nouphan Outsa - Director General of DTVET-MoES, Mr. Christian Engler - Deputy Director for Cooperation of SDC, Mr. Michael Fink – Country Director of Swisscontact Lao and Mr. Khornsy Mahavong – Deputy Director General of SDED, MoLSW. There were 57 participants (19 women) from the central and local levels (Oudomxay, Xayabouly, Xiengkhouang, Khammouane and Saravane Provinces). 

The purpose of the meeting was to report on and discuss the progress of project implementation from 2020 to June 2021, as well as to inform and discuss the Annual Operational Plan for the year 2021, and project experiences shared by the five provinces and to brainstorm on the establishment of Sub-National Skills Fora. The meeting lasted for a full day.
