ASTHA signs a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Zaynax Health

With a vision to build an effective e-referral system and empower the Community Paramedics to provide a holistic primary health care service, Swisscontact’s ASTHA (Achieving Sustainability Towards Healthcare Access) project recently signed an MoU with Zaynax Health.

Community Paramedics (CP) are the first line of primary healthcare providers to the underprivileged communities of Bangladesh. ASTHA is working to strengthen the Community Paramedic (CP) service provision by enabling them to provide a complete health care package to the communities they serve. Zaynax Health is a 360-health platform that addresses all spectrums of healthcare needs ranging from 24/7 doctor access via audio and video call to nationwide medicine home delivery, micro-insurance, up-to 50% discount at enlisted hospitals and clinics, mental health support and other well-being facilities.

Mr. Fazle Razik-Team Leader, and Ms. Trina Hasan- Senior Officer, Partnership and innovation of ASTHA (both on the right) and Mr. Parvez Ahmad-Chief Operating Officer and Ms. Maisha Binte Siddiq - Head of B2C & Projects of Zaynax were present at the signing event.

Through this MoU, Zaynax Health and ASTHA build an effective referral system for the community Paramedics (CP) and provide them with agent app via which they can sell health packs and book specialist appointments, and amongst others they will assist in health camps to address pressing health issues in the localities.

This project is financed by Novartis, the Evi Diethelm Winteler Stiftung, the Laguna Foundation, the Leopold Bachmann Stiftung, among other donors. It is part of the Swisscontact Development Programme, which is co-financed by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Federal Department of Foreign Affairs FDFA.
