Despite the high labour force rate, the country’s human resource remains largely low-skilled. Therefore, the need to upskill the working population and modernise technical and functional competencies is crucial in major economic sectors, including industry, services and agriculture.

Sustainable agriculture
Innovation for Sustainable Agriculture (ISA)
The project promotes appropriate technologies and extension services for a sustainable agricultural production. This leads to reduced negative impacts on the environment including improved soil health that allows smallholder farmers to increase their productivity and income.

Enhancing Entrepreneurial Ecosystem and Investments (3Ei)
The overall goal of the 3Ei is for the private sector to actively contribute to Cambodia's socio-economic development and attain the goals of the SDGs. The achievement of this overall goal will be driven by two outcomes. Outcome 1: Enhanced coordination, and collaboration within the entrepreneurial ecosystem; and Outcome 2: Increased business performance and investments in the ecosystem and impact enterprises.

Digital Learning Materials for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (DLM4TVET)
Digital Learning Materials for TVET II (DLM4TVET) supports the digital transformation of Cambodia’s Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) system by strengthening institutions to develop and use high-quality digital learning materials. The project helps ensure that these materials are relevant, easy to access, and sustainably integrated into everyday teaching and learning. By improving the systems and processes behind digital content creation, and by training TVET teachers and instructors to use these tools effectively, the project ultimately benefits learners across Cambodia.

Digital Literacy Initiative Cambodia
The overall goal of the Programme is to qualify youth for inclusion in the digital economy, by enabling the access to digital literacy education and closing the digital gap.  Through coding, the students learn to think critically and to solve problems when something does not work. Through developing applications to address practical problems in society, they gain leadership, communication, and project management skills. These competencies are important for future higher education and professional activities.

Provincial Give a Day Strengthens Financial Management and Financing Readiness
The fourth Give a Day in Battambang and seventh Give a Day in Siem Reap, co-hosted by Khmer Enterprise and Swisscontact in Cambodia under the Enhancing Entrepreneurial Ecosystem and Investments (3Ei) initiative, were held on 23 and 25 June 2026 under the theme “Financial Management and Accounting/Enhancing Business Financing.” The two events convened 64 participants, including 30 in Battambang and 34 in Siem Reap.

Strengthening Entrepreneurial Support and Founder Growth: Mike Ducker as the Fourth EiR of 2026
As the fourth Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EiR) of 2026 under the Enhancing Entrepreneurial Ecosystem and Investments (3Ei) initiative, Mike Ducker led a series of workshops, mentoring sessions, and programme discussions in Cambodia from 27 June to 4 July 2026. His mission focused on strengthening Entrepreneur Support Organizations (ESOs), improving customer discovery and product-market fit, supporting founders through different stages of startup growth, promoting strategic funding diversification, and strengthening mentoring practices.

OUR INTERVENTIONS

Swisscontact in Cambodia works to strengthen the systems in skills development, entrepreneurial ecosystem and impact investments, trade facilitation and regenerative agriculture by working closely with the private, public, research and academia and the civil society sectors. All interventions are designed following the Inclusive Systems Development (ISD) approach of Swisscontact. Institutionalization of the interventions, via branding, is a key focus in all the projects. Swisscontact currently is supporting the stakeholders (public/private) to establish and promote 8 brands. The scale for each of the interventions will be realized through the promotion of the brands. While delivering our activities, Swisscontact Cambodia is committed to the Greening Office initiative.

Solid partnerships at all levels are essential for development projects to achieve the best possible outcomes.
