Programme de promotion de l'internationalisation (PAI) au Pérou (angl.)

The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (MINCETUR) proposed to the Steering Committee of the MSMEs Fund the creation of the Internationalization Support Program (PAI), which is part of the National Export Strategic Plan PENX 2025, one of its main objectives being the internationalization of Peruvian companies. The PAI was approved on February 29, 2016, with a focus on supporting companies to increase sales and exports, as well as the diversification of international markets.

The objective of PAI is to strengthen, promote and foster the internationalization process of exporting companies, contributing to improve their competitiveness, minimizing their risks and optimizing their capacities and management skills in foreign trade projects.


Impact to 2018

  • 84 beneficiary companies belonging to 11 regions of the country and 12 economic sectors.
  • 80 internationalization initiatives, of which 67 are at the stage of elaboration of their internationalization plan and 13 are already executing their internationalization plan.

In 2018, a total of S/. 7,316,000 has been awarded in modalities I, II and III as follows:

  • Modality I: 54 beneficiary companies for a total of S/ 3 748 000.
  • Mode II: 26 beneficiary companies for a total of S/ 3 089 600.
  • Modality III: 04 beneficiary companies for a total of S/ 478 400.
