Uttoron-Skills for better life project organises MRM workshop to develop Result Chains and Measurement Plans for phase-II

Uttoron-Skills for better life organised a three-day long Monitoring and Results Measurement (MRM) workshop from 20 to 23 October 2019 with an aim to orient the project staff on MRM and develop results chain along with measurement plan for phase-II of the project.

Uttoron phase-II has commenced its journey from 1 August 2019 and now is in the process of planning detailed activities for its interventions. The three-day long MRM workshop helped the project staff to better understand the objectives, interconnectivity between different components of the project and identify the required interventions to achieve project targets. Results chains for different components along with corresponding measurement plan have been developed during this workshop. The interactive workshop was facilitated by the MRM focal of the project.

Uttoron-Skills for better life is a skills development project, funded by Chevron under Bangladesh Partnership Initiative (BPI) and implemented by Swisscontact. In phase-I (2016-2019), Uttoron project has provided skills training to 1463 community youths in three eastern districts of Bangladesh namely: Sylhet, Moulavibazar and Habiganj. The project has supported community members to qualify for industry driven training and has positioned them for new or improved employment opportunities. The phase-II (2019-2022) of Uttoron project aims to enhance the employability of community youths in Sylhet and Dhaka region, generate sustainable provisions for skills training near Bibiyana area, and create opportunities of advance welding training for youths in Bangladesh.
