Enabling self-employed youths to access finance

Access to finance is crucial for people who chose self-employment. Youth Employment Project (YEP) signed a contract with Mr. Abhaya Bahadur Singh, an experienced financial sector consultant, on 4th December 2018 for the execution of its “Access to Finance” intervention. The intervention will target YEP’s training graduates and aim to make them financially capable, so they can make informed decisions on obtaining financial services from formal institutions including banks, micro finance institutions and cooperatives.

As part of this intervention, YEP will provide additional trainings and follow-up support to its training graduates on financial literacy and financial management. The intervention will also work with partner financial institutions to strengthen their outreach and target the low income segments of the population.
