Great prospects for export of Macedonian organic products

Organic producers from Macedonia jointly presented their products at the Slovenian Agra Fair 2017 reconfirming the great potential of the sector.

With more than 1,700 exhibitors from 30 countries Agra 2017 is one of the biggest fairs for food and agriculture in Central Europe. Macedonia presented the potentials of the organic agriculture sector with six companies displaying their products, varying from organic cheese to processed organic products, and holding B2B meetings with potential export partners.
Macedonian agriculture products are already well recognized and demanded on the Slovenian market which also reflects on the demand for Macedonian organic products. Several companies have made initial contacts for export and distribution of their products on the Slovenian market, as well as some other untraditional markets.
Recognizing the potential of Macedonian agriculture, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy, has been invited to partner Slovenia in the organization of Agra Fair 2018.
„Macedonia is honored to be a partner-country to Slovenia for next year’s edition of the fair, with more companies from Macedonia being presented next year”, said Ljupcho Nikolovski, Minister for Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy.
