Swisscontact’s core business is the implementation of projects funded by bilateral, multi-lateral and private sector donors. We are currently implementing more than 100 projects in over 30 countries with a total staff base of 1100 people. Swisscontact’s public sector clients include the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (seco), the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), the Deutsche Geseellschaft für international Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), the World Bank Group, the Asian Development Bank and many others. Private sector clients include companies like HOLCIM, NESTLE, NOVARTIS, CHEVRON, LIDL and others.
Swisscontact offers consultancy services for specific assignments like project feasibility studies, project scoping missions, external project evaluations and the elaboration of case studies.
Swisscontact has also expertise in the organisation of workshops and events related to private sector development and inclusive economic growth.
Finally, a crucial instrument Swisscontact offers is the Senior Expert Corps (SEC), which links SMEs in developing countries to retired Swiss professionals, who offer their advice and expertise for periods of up to 3 months.
