Prior to joining PPSE, Fisnik worked at the Riinvest Institute for four years, where he was part of numerous research and development projects. He also has teaching experience in several subjects at Riinvest College. Fisnik has graduated from the American University in Bulgaria in 2009 with a major in Economics, Political Science and International Studies and a minor in European Studies, and was awarded a MSc degree in Economic Policy at the University of London.
Linda has over 20 years of experience in strategic communications, public relations, media, social inclusion and gender. She worked for several USAID-funded projects in Kosovo that supported private sector development, youth entrepreneurship and the rule of law. Prior to that, Linda worked for the United Nations Mission in Kosovo with the Department of Justice, and before that as a journalist, editor and translator. Linda has mentoring and training experience, primarily with programs supporting women in business, and has been engaged as copywriter for various organizations. She is a published author.
With an education background in business, Blerina has over ten years of work experience in marketing, economic development, banking, business enabling environment and tourism development, both in the private sector and international organizations such as: the EU, USAID, World Bank and Swisscontact. She is in charge of the tourism sector at the PPSE Program. Blerina has a Bachelor degree in business administration from the American College of Thessaloniki and an MBA from the University of Sheffield.
Ibrahim has over 16 years of experience in development work with particular focus on grants, finance, design and implementation of community development programs, capacity building, income generation and micro finance. He has acquired such experience working for international NGOs operating in Kosovo, such as Mercy Corps, Institute for Sustainable Communities, Danish Refugee Council and International Rescue Committee. He also brings solid experience in the private sector as a business owner. Ibrahim holds an Executive MBA from University for Business and Technology supported by the Vienna Institute of Technology, Diploma in Local Development Practice by National University of Ireland-Galway and he is certified in Project Management for Development Professionals - PMD Pro1 by APMG.
Ivana Bozic is responsible for the facilitation of the minorities’ participation at the PPSE Program. She has vast of experience working with local and international stakeholders providing the assistance in the implementation of the projects on social and political empowerment of Serbian community in Kosovo. Ivana graduated from the Belgrade University, Faculty of Political Science and she holds BA degree in International Affairs. She acquired her Master’s Degree in Conflict Studies at Singidunum University with thesis ‘Analysis of Interethnic Reconciliation in Kosovo’. Ivana was a participant in various trainings and programs on the subject of human rights, diversity and multiculturalism, and (post)-conflict societies.
Besnik has about nine years of work experience as a consultant in economic development, business enabling environment, international trade and value chain analysis. He has experience in organizations such as the United Nations Development Programme, Kosovo Chamber of Commerce, and in the private sector. His specializations include Value Chain Development. MSD (M4P), project management, private sector development, inclusive business and international trade. Besnik has a bachelor degree in International Business and currently is doing his master’s degree in Entrepreneurship and Local Economic Development in Macedonia.
Venera brought to PPSE her experience of more than 15 years in finance and accounting, having worked at ProCredit Bank, Raiffeisen, Grant Thornton, and various companies. Venera also worked for the US Office in Kosovo (now the US Embassy). She joined PPSE as the Accountant Support Officer/Secretary. Venera has a bachelors degree in Business Administration, and is awaiting to complete her masters degree at Kolegji Dardania.
Malva has over 5 years of experience in economic development and industry and trade issues. She has been engaged both in private sector and Government Institutions, and in international organizations including GIZ, World Bank, European Commission and the United Nations Environmental Protection (UNEP). She was of the consulting team at Recura for over two years, primarily as a Corporate Governance expert through the partner interventions of RECURA and IFC in Kosovo. Malva holds a Master’s Degree in Economics, Finance and Management, from the University of Bristol, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and a BA in International Relations from Webster University Geneva.
Having worked in humanitarian response, early recovery, democracy and governance and private sector development programmes, Ms. Grazhdani brings years of experience from the Balkans and east sub-Saharan Africa region. After 9 years of working with USAID Kosovo, Ms. Grazhdani continued her international development experience with UNDP in Sudan and Somalia in working with honey, sesame, fisheries and groundnuts value chain programmes and youth employment though private sector development. She has an extensive experience applying MSD approach and using the DCED standards for result measurement. Ms. Grazhdani has a master degree in sociology.
Lindita has over 18 years of professional experience in administration and finance. She brought with her extensive professional experience from the organization Care International where she successfully advanced from junior positions to the position of senior accountant. Lindita has a degree in Economics from the University of Prishtina and is an expert in financial accounting and controlling.
Hana has more than 10 years of work experience mainly in the private sector with a wide range of expertise in marketing intelligence, product development and promotional campaigns. In addition, apart from the private sector experience, she has been engaged in government and academic institution with various projects. Hana has graduated from The University of Sheffield International Faculty with a major in Business Studies & Marketing and later on she completed her MBA degree from the same university.
Agim has a long professional experience in the area of administration and logistics with the Swiss Development Cooperation Agency Office (SDC) in Prishtinë/Priština and Swisscontact. He has been part of various projects in the area of vocational and educational training at the secondary vocational public school of Technology, Agriculture, and Economy. Agim is a graduate if the University of Prishtina, with a degree in economics. He has sduccessfully completed many training programs in IT, including ECDL certificates.
Alida is in charge of the Women Economic Empowerment component and gender mainstreaming within the PPSE. Previously, she worked for five years in the banking sector in Kosovo. Prior to the banking experience, Alida worked for Swisscontact “Women Business Development Program” in Gjakova/Ɖakovica. She is an agriculture engineer with a degree concentrated in plant protection which she obtained from the University of Prishtina.
Avni has over 16 years of work experience in project management, agriculture and rural economic development, agriculture policy and statistics, income generation and value chains, and the LEADER approach. He worked for UN/FAO and several EU funded projects implemented by international organizations including INFOGROUP Consulting, NR International, GFA Consulting Group, EGIS BDPA, AAM Consulting, GIZ and IADK. Avni holds a university degree in Agriculture Sciences at the University of Prishtina and currently is doing his master degree in Economy of Agriculture and Food at the University of Prishtina.
In addition to being experienced in project management, Fisnik brings to PPSE extensive experience on private sector development. He has worked at the Riinvest Institute for four years as a senior researcher. He has worked at ProCredit Bank as analyst of banking processes and as corporate loan analyst. Fisnik also has extensive work experience of about eight years with the United Nations Mission in Kosovo. He holds a doctorate degree in the field of "Innovation and Firm Performance" obtained from the Staffordshire University in the UK, having previously graduated from the same University with a MSc degree on Economics for Business Analysis.
Dren has over twelve years of combined professional experience in the banking and microfinance industry, having worked for ProCredit Bank, FINCA, and experience in the power-supply sector, having worked for both the state-owned Kosovo Electricity Distribution Supply, and the USAID-funded project that supported the performance improvement of KEDS. Before joining PPSE, Dren acquired sales experience in the private sector. A professional basketball player, Dren played for the Kosovo Basketball League. He has a bachelor degree on Tourism and Hotel Management from the University of Prishtina.
