The PROMOST Project, implemented by Swisscontact, held a four-day workshop to train a pool of expert consultants referred to as Business Development Advisors (BDAs) from Rwanda, DR Congo and Burundi. This was facilitated in an effort to strengthen the local level support system for young entrepreneurs, particularly those graduating from formal TVET schools, non-formal short-term training courses and modernized apprenticeships.

The workshop held in Rwanda set out to improve the entrepreneurship facilitation system in the Great Lakes region through the identification of specific innovations and practices in coaching. Knowledge sharing of lessons learnt was also reinforced.
Swisscontact partnered with Azimut, an international consulting company that provides expertise and advice in the area of inclusive finance to facilitate the workshop. 30 BDAs from the three countries were trained and empowered to deliver future project activities.
