Sopheana joined Swisscontact as a Project Coordinator for the Skills Development Programme's National Policy and TVET System Reform intervention in July 2019. His works contribute to a meaningful policy dialogue through provincial and national government mechanisms using an evidence-based approaches like piloting Recognition of Prior Learning skills tests, and contributing to the improvement and reform of the TVET system in Cambodia. Previously, Sopheana worked as Labour Market Information Specialist at World Vision International where he was responsible for, among others, analysing labour market demand as guidance for young women and men for deciding on their career pathway toward decent works.
He holds a Master's Degrees in Public Policy with a focus on labour policy from the KDI School of Public Policy and Management, the Republic of Korea, and in Development Management from Norton University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from the Royal University of Phnom Penh.
Pritesh joined Swisscontact Cambodia in 2018 as a Programme Associate. Currently he is the New Business Development Officer for the Mekong Inclusive Growth and Innovation Programme (MIGIP) and Regional Investment Support for Entrepreneurs (RISE) project.
Pritesh holds a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Sustainable International Development from Brandeis University, Heller School of Social Policy and Management, in Massachusetts, USA, and has a dual Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in International Relations and Political Science from Monmouth College, Illinois, USA.
Vathana joined Swisscontact in August 2019. She is one of the Junior Project Officers for the Mekong Inclusive Growth and Innovation Project (MIGIP). She assists, monitors and facilitates project implementation of agriculture technology sector. Prior to this role, Vathana worked as a Tax Consultant for DFDL where she provided supports on the basis of documentation regarding tax planning, compliance, and law.
Vathana holds a dual Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Education from the Institute of Foreign Languages, Royal University of Phnom Penh and Accounting & Finance from CamEd Business School in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
Davith joined Swisscontact as a Junior Project Officer of the Mekong Inclusive Growth and Innovation Programme (MIGIP) in August 2019. In MIGIP, she carries the role to support Cambodia’s sustainable agriculture sector in the promotion of enterprise development. Davith works closely with the Royal Government agencies and private sector enterprises to facilitate innovative projects with a focus on the use of improved and innovative technologies.
Davith holds a Bachelor of Arts in Administrative Science in International Relation from Zaman University in Phnom Penh. Davith obtains her skills in organisational management, public relation, and monitoring through implementing various social projects and campaigns. Since 2016, Davith also served as a Top Team Leader at the Harpswell Foundation focused on civic engagement and leadership training.
Tola joined Swisscontact in April 2019 as a Finance Officer. Possessing more than five years of experience working in diverse financial positions in both private and non-government organisations. Based on her previous experience running core finance operations, she helps the finance and administration team to support Swisscontact activities in Cambodia.
Her commitment can be gauged from the fact that she is an accredited holder of Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Banking from Phnom Penh International University. She also obtained another Bachelor of Arts in Tourism Management from the Royal University of Phnom Penh as a scholarship student. In the present, Tola is pursuing a Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) degree which focuses on Financial and Accounting Management at CamEd Business School in Phnom Penh.
Sonja Hofstetter joined Swisscontact in Cambodia in July 2016. She is the Quality Assurance Manager and Deputy Team Leader of the Skills Development Programme. Originally from Switzerland, Sonja has 13 years of experience working across the education sector – starting her professional career as a teacher and later engaging in basic education and literacy projects, higher education institutions as well as development projects concerned with vocational education and training. Sonja has worked in Switzerland, Spain, France, Sweden, South Africa and Nepal. Prior to this role she worked as an Advisor for Education and Vocational Training at HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation in Zurich, Switzerland.
She holds a Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) degree in Development and Cooperation from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich (Switzerland, a MSc in International and Comparative Education from the University of Stockholm (Sweden), and a BA in primary education from the University of Bern (Switzerland).
Christian Volker Ide joined Swisscontact in March 2019 as Team leader of the Skills Development Programme (SDP) in Cambodia. He is extremely passionate about his work and, for him, it is astounding to watch others develop their confidence, knowledge, and skills to achieve their goals.
After his Apprentice at Volkswagen AG in Germany in industrial electronics engineering - system technology, he completed his Bachelor Professional of Electrical Engineering and Operations at Volkswagen Academy and his Coordinator in International Project Management in Development Cooperation - Humanitarian Aid and Disaster Relief.
During the last 11 years, he supported GIZ Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programs in cooperation with the Directorate for DVET under the Ministry of Labour in Vietnam, and GIZ TVET programs as an integrated expert at the Ministry of Industry Myanmar. Christian has over 11 years of practical experience with the management and implementation of skills development and TVET projects and programs on an institutional level, capacity development at a company level and Vocational Institutions, as well as Vocational System Reform Programs. Furthermore, he is the founder of Save the Families Souls e.V. and voluntarily implementing support with the focus on rural village-driven development projects, for over 10 years.
Virasha Jaswani joined Swisscontact in May 2019 as a Technical Tourism Industry Working Group (TTIWG) Coordinator for Kampot province to improve public-private partnership. Prior to joining Swisscontact, Virasha spent her time working within tourism industry in Kampot, and throughout Southeast Asia. She is passionate about Kampot, and is invested in positive growth within the province.
Before coming to Cambodia, Virasha attained a BA Business Economics, and MSc International Tourism Management at the University of Exeter in the Southwest of England.
Ul joined Swisscontact in September 2018 as a Field Officer Consultant for the Skills Development Programme (SDP). He has almost a decade of experience working as a team leader, human resource officer, employment specialist and employment & livelihood improvement expert. Ul used to work for Digital Divide Data, Mega Asset Management, Pour Un Sourire D’Enfant and Cufa Cambodia in Phnom Penh.
Ul holds a Master of Arts in Development Management from Norton University and a Bachelor of Arts in Management from Cambodian Mekong University in Phnom Penh.
Joining Swisscontact in March 2018, Sarin is currently a Hospitality Training Coordinator, supporting the Skills Development Programme (SDP)’s hospitality intervention. He had over ten years of working experiences in administration and human resources, training development, particularly in hospitality, in local and international institutions such as Pour Un Sourire D’Enfant, Hanuman Tourism, Cambodia Restaurant Association (CRA) and Thalias Hospitality Group.
He coordinated committees for Public-Private Sector, Business Development, Communication and Education-Training and organised Member Get-Together, Seminars, Competitions, Camfood-Camhotel and deal with hoteliers, restaurateurs, chefs and relevant figures in the hospitality.
Sarin obtained dual bachelors’ degree in Business Administration (BA) and Diploma of French License in Economics from the Royal University of Law and Economics (RULE) in association with Lyon II University, France. Later on, he achieved dual masters’ degree in Entrepreneurship & Project Management from RULE and School of Management of AIT, Thailand in an exchange programme funded by French government.
Dara Kong has joined Swisscontact in May 2018 as the Hospitality Intervention Manager for Skills Development Programme (SDP) in Cambodia. Dara has over 14 years of management work experience in hospitality and tourism sectors, as well as in education and training in an international Vocational Hospitality Hotel school. Oversea experience, international study tour on hospitality and tourism sectors in Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Thailand.
He graduated Bachelor Degree in Project Management and Community Development and Master Degree in Entrepreneurship Management from Build Bright University. He also graduated from Paul DUBRULE Hotel and Tourism School, as a National Mater Trainer in Food and Beverage Service and Assessor committee of RPL recognised by Ministry of Tourism. He joined many professional development programmes such as Capacity Building for Tourism Vocational Training, National Master F&B Trainer, Fabulous Facilitation, Leadership and Management Skill, Education and Entrepreneurship, train of trainer and Quality of higher Education.
Meng joined Swisscontact as a Dual Vocational Training Coordination in January 2017 in the Skills Development Programme (SDP), where he mainly works with the programme training provider partners. He has over ten years of experiences working non-government, civil society and community-based organisations for children, young women and men and senior people in the sector of Education, Vocational Training, Health and private sectors. He carried out different tasks on budget management, capacity building for government partners including local, provincial and national authorities.
Meng holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from University of Management and Economics, a Master’s degree of Education Science from Cambodian University of Specialist and a diploma in Disaster Risk Reduction Management from the Coalition of Service of the Elderly in the Philippines. Meng has a strong hobby for sports including swimming and football.
Sovithiea joined Swisscontact in January 2020 as a Communication Officer with a mission to provide the communication support to Swisscontact Cambodia office, particularly on the Skill Development Programme (SDP) and Regional Investment Support for Entrepreneurs (RISE).
Prior to joining Swisscontact, Sovithiea served as a Communication and Learning Specialist for Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade's ACCESS Program, where he was in charge of maintaining the programme’s image among its external audience and ensuring the organisation meeting all national government's requirements in compliance with donor rules and regulations.
Earlier in his career, Sovithiea has more than 8 years of relevant, professional experience with stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds including public, social, and private sectors. He holds a Master’s degree in French Translation Sciences from the Institute of Foreign Languages, Royal University of Phnom Penh.
Sokhuy has joined Swisscontact Cambodia since December 2017 as Technical Assistance (TA) Facility Manager of Regional Investment Support for Entrepreneurs (RISE) platform. Her responsibility is the management of TA facility. Before that, Sokhuy worked as Program Officer in charge of the cooperation of Japan’s official development assistance in private and economic sector at Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in Cambodia for three years. Sokhuy mainly supported trade facilitation and SMEs promotion cooperation program, and she also was tasked to follow up the Marco-economic development in Cambodia and to provide constant analytical macroeconomic inputs for JICA whole operational management.
Sokhuy currently holds two B.A degrees in Accounting and International Relations. For Master’s degree, she is major in Peace and Development at Pannasastra University of Cambodia. She used to be selected as the exchange student to study in Japan, Osaka University in the field of International Public Policy for six months.
Being passionate in development field, Bormey joined Swisscontact in December 2019 as a Junior Project Officer in Mekong Inclusive Growth and Innovation Programme (MIGIP). Prior to this employment, she was a National United Nations Youth Volunteer Project Administrative Assistant under Poverty Reduction among Youth in Cambodia project. In 2016, she has completed her Summer Internship Program with U.S. Embassy in Cambodia by working in American Citizen Service section to report on emergency cases involving American citizens, including death and detainment cases.
Currently, Bormey holds dual Bachelor of Arts (BA) in International Studies and English for education from Royal University of Phnom Penh. She also completed a semester exchange study in Social Policy and Administrative from Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong.

Sovannaret joined Swisscontact in October 2019 as a Junior Project Officer for agriculture sector innovation under the Mekong Inclusive Growth and Innovation Project (MIGIP). She carries a different set of skills and experiences acquired personally from years of volunteering for social causes and professionally from working in various industries including start-up, social enterprise and corporation. Her previous roles include Community Coordinator at Smallworld Cambodia, Program Manager at SHE Investments and Partner Program Coordinator at Microsoft Market Development Partner.
Other experiences included being a member and executive committee of the U.S. Ambassador’s Youth Council of US embassy Phnom Penh and Project Leader at Fulbright and Undergraduate State Alumni Association of Cambodia (FUSAAC). She was also an alumnus of YSEALI Academic fellowship under theme Social Entrepreneurship and Economic Development at Arizona State University. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies specialized in International Economics from the Royal University of Phnom Penh.
Socheatey joined Swisscontact as a Hospitality Training Officer with the Skills Development Programme (SDP) in November 2019. She thinks that training and development are importance factors to generate skills and incomes for people who work in tourism industry. Her goal is to contribute to the improvement of service quality, which she believes to be the main point that can render tourism sector sustainable.
Socheatey was an intern as Programme Associate in Mekong Inclusive Growth and Innovation Programme (MIGIP) and involved elaborately with HoKa hospitality trainings. Prior to Swisscontact, Socheatey worked for the Frangipani Villa & Spa as a reservation and front desk officer.
Socheatey is a fresh graduate from Royal University of Phnom Penh with Bachelor of Art in Tourism Management.
Mee joined in Swisscontact in November 2017 as a Hospitality Intervention Lead for the Mekong Inclusive Growth and Innovation Programme (MIGIP). Mee has more than 13 years of working experience in the tourism and hospitality industry ranging from community-based tourism to private-oriented tour companies and in hotels.
Currently, he has actively involved in promoting ASEAN and national competency standards to improve the capacity of low skilled workers in the hospitality sector through dual in-house training, by closely working with the industry and other national and international experts.
Mee holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Tourism Management from Royal University of Phnom Penh. He also joined many professional development programmes on tourism development and management, national food and beverages trainers, leadership and project management.
Sun Hour, as Junior Communication Officer, has been at Swisscontact since February 2019. Prior to his professional experience, he was a fresher of International Studies, focusing his academic interests on international affairs, information management and development issues. These intellectual capitals paved the way to his internship at Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Cambodia, where he was working mainly on research and communication process.
Sun Hour holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Department of International Studies, Royal University of Phnom Penh.
Gregor joined Swisscontact in Cambodia as a Programme Associate for the Skills Development Programme (SDP) in October 2019. His background with Swisscontact started in 2018 when he went to the Republic of Kosovo to work as a tourism facilitator mainly on the economic development of SMEs and sector coordination for the Swisscontact project PPSE. Later on, Gregor worked for one year in Colombia for the C+C project in the same position and foundation as in Kosovo.
After finishing an apprenticeship as construction designer in air conditioning, Gregor went travelling for quite a while all around the world and spent most of his time in South America. Gregor finished college with a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science with a focus on Tourism.
Baing joined Swisscontact in June 2019 as a Provincial Coordinator for Stung Treng province in the Skills Development Programme (SDP). Baing has working experiences with several NGOs in variety of sectors such as natural resource management, community livelihood development and enterprise development and operation.
He graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance and a Master's of Business Administration from Build Bright University.
Mengcheang is currently the National Policy Manager leading national policy and TVET reform (NPTR) intervention. His major role is responsible for strengthening SDP’s evidence-based policy making as part of the ongoing national TVET reforms and implementation of the Cambodia Qualification Framework (CQF) including Training of Trainer Programme, Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), Competency Standard Development and Public Private Partnership. His work is for a youth employment and integrating TVET solutions and he has worked very closely with the private sector and government counterparts ((Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training, Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Women Affaires, National Training Agency, TVET institutes and sub-nationals).
He has more than 8 years experience in the management of large projects and the supervision of large inter-cultural teams, particularly in more than 5 years experience as an expert for vocational education and training.
Vearyda started with Swisscontact’s Communications Team as a Communication Officer in February 2019. While in charge of digital platforms, he supports the enhancement of Swisscontact visibility in sectors of agriculture, tourism, enterprise and skills development among private and public stakeholders by implementing communication plans and developing materials. He started his first job as a Communication Consultant in the Public Financial Management Information System project at the Ministry of Economy and Finance in 2016.
Vearyda obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Media Management from the Department of Media and Communication, the Royal University of Phnom Penh in 2016. Before starting the communication career path, he familiarised himself in journalism as an intern reporter at Radio Free Asia, Phnom Penh, in 2014 and at Inquirer.net, Manila, in 2015 and as a freelance writer during his school years. His interest belongs to technology, agriculture and education.
Samath joined Swisscontact in September 2019 as a Training Management Coordinator in the Skills Development Programme (SDP). His responsible includes school management, quality management, training quality assurance, competency-based training. His previous experience includes being a Training Facilitator with youth for seven years and three years as a Program Developer of non-formal education in skill development and employment. He has well visual control of technical and vocational skill training in working with TVET school, SMEs and enterprise-based workshop, and community-based training centre. He played a crucial part in leading 25 NGOs and three ministries in a TVET platform initiative conception with the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training.
Samath graduated from Norton University with a Master’s degree in Development Management, Result Based Management from Syda Foundation in Sweden, Project Management and Forms of Sexual Harassment and PSEAH policy by World Vision Australia Support Office. He has good experiences in Business to Business (B2B) matching in TVET SMEs and Digital Marketing during his time with CAVAC. He was also an activist representative in a youth organisation for Youth Economic Empowering Mobilisation in ASEAN People Forum, Malaysia.
Kimtek started at Swisscontact in January 2018 as an Monitoring and Result Measurement intern for the Skills Development Programme (SDP). After fulfilling the internship, he was offered a consulting contract prior to the promotion of the current position as a Senior MRM Officer due to his professional performance, commitment and strong abilities to learn. He is responsible for leading the monitoring activities, outcome evaluation, and impact assessment, which is a crucial basis for project management, steering and learning.
Prior to Swisscontact, Kimtek worked in the education field as an English teacher for two years. He also participated in short projects implementation such as community-based ecotourism and community learning service project. Kimtek holds a Bachelor of Arts in Tourism Management from the Royal University of Phnom Penh and a bachelor degree of English Literature from Student Development Institute.
Sotheara first joined Swisscontact in as a Field Facilitator in the Mekong Inclusive Growth and Innovation Programme (MIGIP) in March 2017. In July 2019, he joined the Skills Development Programme (SDP) team as a Field Officer Consultant in Kratie province, where he contributes to the provision of technical and advisory supports to the provincial training providers and relevant stakeholders. Before Swisscontact, he had a decade of history in development works as a Supply Chain Coordinator for International Development Enterprise (iDE), a Sponsorship Translation Team Leader, Transformational Development Facilitator, and Project Coordinator for World Vision Cambodia, a Credit Office at Sathapana Bank and other.
He obtained a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Norton University and two Bachelor’s degrees in Education Science, English Literature from Royal University of Phnom Penh and Angkor City Institute in 2017, 2015 and 2011 respectively.
Chenda joined Swisscontact on February 2019 to be in charge of Partnership Liaison Officer Consultancy to support the Skills Development Programme (SDP) partners in budgeting, accounting, financial reporting and financial management of the activities under SDP both in Cambodia Office and Field Offices.
Chenda has nearly ten years of work experience as community development field and Administration/Finance Officer at various local NGO and international humanitarian organisations such as Reproductive Health Association in Cambodia (RHAC), World Vision International in Cambodia, CARE International in Cambodia and Plan International in Cambodia. Chenda graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration majoring Accounting and Finance from National Institute of Business.
Rajiv Pradhan is currently the Country Director at Swisscontact in Cambodia. He has over 25 years of experience working with the private and the development sector. After having run an export company for nearly 8 years, Rajiv teamed up with some like-minded people and co-founded and led a socially responsible investment company, Lotus Holding (1997-2006, which promoted social development through private investments). Rajiv was instrumental in taking the concepts of Business Development Services (BDS), Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) forward in Nepal.
Rajiv has worked in senior management positions in the market development projects in Nepal (BDS-MaPS), Bangladesh (Katalyst) and Indonesia (PRISMA). Rajiv successfully led the iDE Bangladesh operations (2009-13). He has the experience of mentoring staff in the start-up of market development projects and is leading the Swisscontact’s global Inclusive Markets Capacity Development initiative. He has also been awarded the SEEP Practitioner of the Year Award in 2010.
Manith joined Swisscontact in August 2018 as a Junior Project Officer to support the agricultural sector team of Mekong Inclusive Growth and Innovation Programme (MIGIP). Prior to Swisscontact, Manith worked as a research assistant for Economic Institute of Cambodia and project assistant at the Cambodia Human Rights Action Coalition. He also did his internship and volunteer in various public and private sector such as Blue Media, Ministry of Interior, International Bridge to Justice, and so on.
At the moment, Manith holds dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Law from the Royal University of Law and Economics and in International Study from the Institute of Foreign Languages, the Royal University of Phnom Penh.
Kimchean Prum joined Swisscontact Cambodia as the Finance and Administration Manager on July 2016. He will be providing finance and administrative support to all Swisscontact’s programmes in Cambodia, especially the Skills Development Programme funded by Swiss Agency for International Cooperation (SDC) and Country Office.
Kimchean has over 10 years of work experience as an Administration and Finance Manager at various international humanitarian organizations such as CARE Cambodia, HelpAge International Cambodia, Catholic Agency for Oversees Development (CAFOD) and ActionAid Cambodia. He has international work experience working as an Administrator and Financial Controller with Action Against Hunger in Tajikistan (Dushanbe). Kimchean holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Build Bright University, Battambang province, Cambodia.
Soveth joined Swisscontact in October 2019 as a Junior Project Officer in the Mekong Inclusive Growth and Innovation Programme (MIGIP). He is committed to helping improve people livelihood through working with Swisscontact to support the implementation of agricultural-related interventions with public and private sectors.
Soveth is a young professional who had internship experience with USAID development projects in the area of Public Health, Education and Child Protection. He holds Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of Cambodia where he acquires good knowledge on organisational development, skills and international affairs. With public speaking certificate and many volunteer experiences during his college years, Soveth is a good communicator and holds various social skills.
Out of the office, Soveth is into off-trails adventure, nature and reading. Running and cycling are about the only sports he preferred. Thus, having a cup of coffee and good conversation can be the best therapist.
Kevin is the Deputy Country Director for Swisscontact in Cambodia and the Team Leader for the RISE Project. In addition to mentoring the Cambodia technical team and providing quality assurance support to projects, Kevin offers technical assistance in areas such as inclusive business modeling, technology commercialization, private sector partnerships, and access to finance. Prior to this role, Kevin worked as the Director of Programs for iDE Bangladesh where he managed a portfolio of market systems development projects in the areas of agriculture, food and nutrition security, and water, sanitation and health.
Kevin’s 17 years of professional experience includes short-term consultancies with BRAC Uganda, Save the Children Bangladesh, Oxfam America, and the Worldwatch Institute and eight years of experience in organizational development, capacity building, campaign management, and communications strategies for SEIU, United Healthcare Workers West. Kevin holds an M.A. in International Development from George Washington University’s Elliott School for International Affairs and a B.A. from Columbia University.
Jasmine joined Swisscontact in September 2019 as a Programme Associate for the Regional Investment Support for Entrepreneurs (RISE) platform and as part of the New Business Development team. In addition, she is working on the Inclusive Growth Strategy for Conservation Agriculture. Previously, she has worked as an intern with the Womanity Foundation supporting women and girls’ empowerment through rights, education, social entrepreneurship and technology.
Jasmine holds a Master in Anthropology and Sociology of Development from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Fribourg in Social Anthropology and Science of Religion. During her undergraduate degree, she did a semester abroad at University of Ottawa in Canada where she first started working on food systems and agriculture through an anthropological lens. Since then her academic interest has been to study sustainable agriculture and food systems.
At Swisscontact she is pursuing this topic in a professional setting and identifying business opportunities for promoting a better adherence to sustainable agricultural practices.
Having over five years of professional experiences in managerial positions, Mos joined Swisscontact in February 2017 as a Provincial Coordinator for the Mekong Inclusive Growth and Innovation Programme (MIGIP) based in Kampot. Currently, Mos is a Sector Coordinator for MIGIP based in Phnom Penh Office. With his current role, Mos has been leading the team on intervention areas in the tourism sector, which include product development and strengthening destination management structure and process.
Before joining Swisscontact, Mos worked in different tourism development projects for different local and international organisations including SNV Netherlands Development Organisation as Training Coordinator, National League of Commune/Sangkat (currently called National League of Local Council) as Tourism Business Coordinator and the Cambodian Rural Development Team as Le Tonlé Operation Manager.
In addition to the practical works, Mos believes in reading and explorative travels as a very good way to learn new things and to see things in different perspectives!
Claire joined Swisscontact in November 2019 as a Regional Investment Support for Entrepreneurs (RISE) Program Associate. Prior to this fresh arrival in Cambodia, she has worked for two years as a Communications Officer in NGOs. These experiences include developing partnerships, institutional relations with public entities but also fundraising. As a student, she chose to be specialized in International Relations with a special focus on Middle-East affairs and Peace Studies both at Sciences Po Bordeaux (France) and Galatasaray University (Turkey), where she got to learn Turkish. Her different internships within the French Ministry of Defense finally led her to Mexico, where she was an intern assistant to the Defense Attaché.
Out of the office, she is keen on sports with more than 4 years of football and 15 years of basketball practice. As a running passionate, half-marathons are her favorite races. She also has a long commitment in volunteering with NGOs linked to youth empowerment through sports and arts.
Darabondeth joined Swisscontact as a Junior Project Officer for the Mekong Inclusive Growth and Innovation Programme (MIGIP) in January 2019. He is currently working on several interventions where he develops his skillsets in engaging private sectors, designing work plans, and implementing project activities.
Darabondeth is a graduate who holds a Bachelor of Arts in Professional Communication from the Institute of Foreign Language, the Royal University of Phnom Penh in 2018. He equips with volunteering experience as one of the delegates for Model United Nations of the Paññāsāstra University of Cambodia in 2016. He has a sound background in conducting research, quantitative and qualitative and implementing project under the topic of TVET during his university life.
Neha joined Swisscontact Cambodia in February 2017. She is the Sector Coordinator for the Mekong Inclusive Growth and Innovation Project (MIGIP). She leads project implementation of agriculture technology sector. She is an Inclusive Markets (IM) rising mentor for Swisscontact globally. Neha has over five years’ experience in implementing market system development (MSD)/ M4P and private sector development (PSD) projects for international development organizations. Prior to Swisscontact in Cambodia, Neha worked with Samarth-NMDP (Nepal Market Development Programme) in Nepal implemented by a consortium compromising Adam Smith International, The Springfield Centre and Swisscontact. There, she managed the design and implementation Destination Promotion and Marketing strategies for mountain tourism specifically the Great Himalaya Trails. She has experience working with private sector partners from different sectors which include agriculture, tourism, financial institutions and research institutes.
Other professional experience in private sector includes internship and consultancies with Diamond Resorts International, Zintro, Alan Gray, ECS Media, MBA Actuaries and Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. Neha holds a Master of Arts (MA) degree in International Economics and Finance from Brandeis University, International Business School, in Massachusetts, USA, and has a dual Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Economics and Mathematics from Salem College in North Carolina, USA.
Sovantola joined Swisscontact Cambodia as the Administration and Information Technology Officer on January 2017. He will be providing administration and information technology support to all Swisscontact’s programmes in Cambodia and especially Mekong Inclusive Growth and Innovation Programme (MIGIP).
Sovantola has over 10 years of work experience as an Administration and Information Technology Officer at various international humanitarian organisations such as CARE Cambodia and OXFAM International in Cambodia.
Sovantola holds a Bachelor of Science, Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) from Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP) and Bachelor of Social Science at IIC University of Technology in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
Chakriya joined Swisscontact in August 2019 as a Junior Programme Officer in the Mekong Inclusive Growth and Innovation Programme (MIGIP). Growing up in a small village where farming is primary to sustain the lives of most villagers, Chakriya’s interest in agriculture has been immensely developed ever since. Her goal is to see those farmer lives become better off through increasing productivity leading to increasing income.
Moving into Swisscontact Cambodia is her steppingstone, enabling her to chase her dream. Though she is not often engaging in ground activities, she holds on to belief that her indirect engagement in this sector will be, to some degree, a drive to change in agricultural practices in Cambodia. In addition to that, Chakriya wishes to see the greater revolution in agriculture practices by which more Cambodian farmers see the importance and benefit of agri-tech and embark on the adoption of appropriate existing technologies.
Chakriya is a graduate holding a Bachelor’s degree in Argo-Industry from the Royal University of Agriculture.
Sorphorn is the Business Development and Communication Manager for Swisscontact in Cambodia started in early 2018. In addition to ensuring the professional communication within Swisscontact and the stakeholders, Sorphorn is also the focus person for the external relation and the event management. In prior to this, Sorphorn worked as Director of Fundraising for NGOs where she worked closely with the private sector and managed local and Asian funding for education and vocational training programmes.
Sorphorn’s 8 years of professional experience in communication with NGO and private agency - Enfant&Dévelopement, Pour un Sourire d’Enfant, Sabay Digital Corporation and 5 years of experience in programme development with universities. Sorphorn holds a MSc in Animal Production, Environment, Hygiene and Quality from University François Rabelais Tours in Vietnam and a BSc in Agronomy from the Royal University of Agriculture in Phnom Penh.
Sorkunthika joined Swisscontact in March 2019 as a Junior Project Officer with enthusiasm for development field. She is currently working on the development, implementation and monitoring of several interventions in agriculture innovation field. Prior to Swisscontact, Sorkunthika worked for the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Phnom Penh as a Junior Development Cooperation Coordinator, where she supported the Development Cooperation section to identify and evaluate for grant the bilateral cooperation proposals in the area of water management, maternal and child health, and TVET.
Sorkunthika graduated from the Royal University of Phnom Penh with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and completed an exchange study in Political Sciences from Augustana University in Sioux Falls, the US.
Ladang joined Swisscontact in April 2019 as a Monitoring Results Measurement Officer Consultant for the Skills Development Programme (SDP). His responsibility is mainly to evaluate and report data from the SDP’s invention areas. Before Swisscontact, he had worked as a web developer at Kosign company for six months. He was also a scholarship student in Korea Software HRD focusing on programming language. Then, he also had experience as a part-time English teacher for three years at Cambodia International School. On top of these, he also volunteered at Raintree in a Singaporean tech programme as an Assistant Instructor to teach kids the basics of programing language.
Lyladang holds two Bachelor’s degrees including Computer Science from the Royal University of Phnom Penh and English Literature from Student Development Institute. All the previous experiences have always motivated him to learn from circumstances while his life-long passion is to learn something new and to get wise advice from seniors and people around him.
Kamlaingek joined Swisscontact as a Project Associate intern in Regional Investment Support for Entrepreneurs (RISE) in October 2019. He decided to apply for the RISE project internship because the project objective fits the profile of a career that he has been looking for. In the future, with the knowledge from this internship and further education, he would like to promote the economic environment through stimulating the establishment and the operation of micro, small and medium enterprises.
Kamlaingek graduated from CamEd Business School majoring in Accounting & Finance. Also, he holds a Bachelor of Arts in Professional Communication from the Institute of Foreign Languages, the Royal University of Phnom Penh. Since his university days, he has always desired to eliminate the double standard that the marginalised is experiencing. Thus, he looks to utilise the power of number with his humble knowledge in accounting and finance to achieve this goal.
Bopha started her journey with Swisscontact as a Human Resource Officer in April 2019. Her role is to perform a broad range of duties focusing on employee relations, payroll, talent management, recruitment and selection, compliance and benefits, staff training and development. She provides human resource support to all Swisscontact’s programme in Cambodia, especially for the Mekong Inclusive Growth and Innovation Programme (MIGIP) and maintains good connections between the management and all employees.
Prior to the employment with Swisscontact, Bopha started her human resource career path as an intern at CARE International in Cambodia. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies majoring in International Relation from the Institute of Foreign Languages, the Royal University of Phnom Penh.
Reaksmey joined Swisscontact on October 04, 2016 as an Apprenticeship Manager for the SDP. He graduated from Deakin University, majoring in Humanitarian Leadership, Australia and a Master degree of Business Management at Royal University of Law and Economics in Phnom Penh; Cambodia. He joined many short courses in programme development in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippine, India, Nepal, S-Korea, China, Bangladesh and Singapore.
Since 2004, Reaksmey has experienced with Emergency response &DRR sectors, WASH, Youth & Education development, Livelihoods, Community Development, particularly in subordinate management and leadership, advocacy & empowerment, humanitarian and livelihoods development, partnership coordination at sub-national, national and regional level, and entrepreneurship development. Furthermore, He is knowledgeable in training facilitator which talented with LNGO, INGO; Gov’t and UN agency. In addition to training materials development, training facilitation, project management and coordination work, Reaksmey has successfully managed several projects which funded by EU, DFAT, and USAID.
Mealea joined Swisscontact in September 2016 with enthusiasm and confidence as the Senior Project Accountant. With more than seven years of professional experience in Finance and Management, she has shown high levels of competence in the role.
Prior to Swisscontact, Mealea was a Compliance Officer for the University Research Co., LLC. She served as the principle point of contact for fund management and compliance matter for the institution. She also served as a lead coordinator for Control and Prevention of Malaria Project for financial management, compliance with rules, and regulations of USAID.
Mealea has drawn on her experience and professionalism from work with the British Broadcasting Cooperation (BBC). She has contributed to the huge success of the BBC’s first programme including radio and television drama through budget planning and monitoring. This includes handling with various financial adjustments and coordination with local and international producers.
Socheat joined Swisscontact Cambodia in September 2016 as Provincial Coordinator (PC) for Kratie province for Skills Development Programme (SDP). In her role, she provides technical and advisory supports to training providers such as government partners from Department of Labour and Vocational Training, Department of Women Affairs and Department of Tourism to jointly implement the SDP in close collaboration with private enterprises and Kratie provincial administration.
Her previous experiences were in fundraising, partnership, and communications over short and long term projects funded by USAID, EU, AusAid, CEPF, SIDA and some other leading institutional donors on capacity building, climate change adaptation, poverty reduction, environment protection mainly in tourism and agriculture sectors.
Socheat holds a Master degree in Development Management and Governance from University of the Philippines, a Bachelor of Arts in Tourism Management from the Royal University of Phnom Penh and a Bachelor of Arts in English for Communications from Phnom Penh International University.
Erica Wu joined Swisscontact in April 2016 as a Programme Associate to support the start-up of the Cambodia country office, new business development, and project portfolios in skills, tourism, and financial inclusion. Currently in Cambodia and Laos, Erica is the Monitoring& Result Measurement (MRM) manager and Tourism Technical Officer of the Mekong Inclusive Growth and Innovation Programme (MIGIP). Prior to Swisscontact, Erica worked for the World Bank and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in Washington D.C. focusing on trade and competitiveness. She supported the Global Trade Supplier Finance program providing supply chain finance to emerging market exporters in China and Southeast Asia. She also supported structuring a loan to Indian government to develop a national system of Technology Centre.
Started her career in with TATA Consultancy Services in Mumbai, Erica’s more than seven years of professional experience in private sector and non-government organizations also includes internship and consultancies with UNDP, ASHOKA, FINCA International, Global Goods Partners, and Trickle Up. Erica holds a Master of Public Administration specializing in international development from New York University, Wagner School of Public Service and has a BA in International Affairs from National Chengchi University in Taipei, Taiwan.
Sydy has began his internship as an Administrative Assistant with Swisscontact since April 2019. His responsibility is to provide and support all administrative related works, particularly to Country Office and also for other projects within Swisscontact. He decided to be a part of Swisscontact because of his aspiration to work in a business-oriented development organisation.
Sydy is a senior pursuing a bachelor degree in Business Administration at Paññāsāstra University of Cambodia.
