Our Tourism Advisory Services (TAS) team is offering expert advise in the field of sustainable tourism development to external and internal parties. Our team is managed out of the head office in Zurich but operates globally.

Tasks

  • Market development and acquisition, incl. development and negotiations of tailor-made advisory services concepts for individual international clients
  • Lead the implementation of consulting services for internal and external customers in the fields of tourism advisory, training and/or research
  • Management of consultancy project, incl. reporting and financial management
  • Collaborate in the thematic backstopping of consultancy teams and project staff
  • Contribute to the conceptualisation of new services
  • Representation on external events and networking

Requirements

Professional experience:

  • Tourism expert with specialization in a specific relevant thematic area such as e.g. marketing
  • Experience in international tourism consulting and technical and/or strategic advisory, with min. 5-10 years’ work experience with similar responsibilities, proven by an excellent track-record of past assignments
  • Experience in customer approach, negotiation; and/or business development, project acquisition, public tenders
  • Relevant professional experience in an international context, ideally in development cooperation
  • Management experience across the entire project cycle, incl. e.g. project design and steering
  • Leadership experience, with min. 5 years’ work coordinating and supervising interdisciplinary project teams

Skills and capabilities:

  • Proficiency in English and Spanish/French indispensable, German (desired but not essential)
  • Highly structured person with fast comprehension and outstanding multitasking skills
  • Ability to prioritize under high workload/time pressure, results-oriented thinking and decision making
  • Proven analytical and strategic thinking, entrepreneurial and pragmatic mindset, ability to think out-of-the-box
  • Professional and goal-oriented communication skills in a multicultural context and with different target groups
  • Willingness, pleasure and ability to work in frequently changing team constellations
  • Availability to frequent travel internationally up to 50% (subject to pandemic travel restrictions)
  • For international candidates working home-based: Availability to travel to Switzerland periodically
