SKILLS DEVELOPMENT

Vocational Education and Training prepares young men and women with the relevant knowledge, skills and mindsets to successfully enter the workforce or to pursue higher education.

Swisscontact’s Skills development projects contribute to the shift from supply-driven systems to ones that are market-oriented, responsive yet accessible and inclusive. Effective Vocational Education and Training and Labour Market Insertion systems fulfil social, economic and individual purposes which together support critical factors for inclusive growth: sustainable income, social harmony, competitiveness, and low unemployment rates. Women and young people, including vulnerable populations, are especially prioritised in the implementation of our activities. Through our interventions, we seek to promote sustainable labour market insertion services in enterprises, education and training providers and communities.
