The Youth Entrepreneurship Programme facilitates skills development and practical experience in business management for the youth in townships of South Africa. The project is made up of three components, namely:
1. Youth Entrepreneurship Programme
2. Corporate Partnerships
3. Business and Financial Education through Mass Media Youth Entrepreneurship.

Gloria Flores and the five owners of the chips factory El Racimo have escaped poverty and created jobs by building up their small firms and thanks to consultancy by Swisscontact.

Economic Reconstruction after the Tsunami (2006)

Swisscontact supports reconstruction after the Tsunami with mobile training units – moving class rooms built into lorries where people can follow short courses in construction work.

Claudia the mechanic (2002)

Claudia Carpio dreamt of becoming a car mechanic. A school that has modernised its vocational training, consulted by Swisscontact, has accepted the young woman as an apprentice.

Village Banking in Uganda (2001)

Swisscontact is fostering access to microfinancial services in Uganda. Village banking is the grassroots credit- and saving scheme that allows small business people to expand and consolidate their businesses.
