50 years celebratino of Swisscontact at the Lakeside Casino in Zurich

1959, Swisscontact had been founded in Zurich, under the presence of former Federal Counselor Ernst Wetter and with a donation capital of 10,000 Swiss Francs provided by Nestlé SA. 2009, the organization for development cooperation of the Swiss private sector celebrates its 50 th anniversary, again with active participation of the Swiss Federal Council – represented by the Minister of Economy, Doris Leuthard – as well as by Nestlé, whose chairman of the board, Peter Brabeck, also addressed the audience. The anniversary celebration itself was a bit less exclusive than the creation of Swisscontact in a notary public’s office: Around 700 guests attended: representatives of the economy, politics and science, donors, partners and friends of the organization as well as active and former employees from all over the world.
